AMAPIANO musicians MFR Souls, Gaba Cannal and Josiah De Disciple inspired rising musician, Stash Da Groovyest's career.
The musician, whose real name is Ranti Dikgale, from Meadowlands in Soweto spoke to SunBuzz about his career and how the amapiano musicians motivated him.
"My love of music started at home. On weekends, my dad used to play 90s music and my sister also listened to every genre of music. It all started there, but at the time, it wasn't something I was pursuing," he said.
"Around 2013, I used to play soccer with two of my friends and during those days, we used to listen to the likes of MFR Souls, Gaba Cannal, Josiah De Disciple. Then came a time where we got into deejaying and producing. We started doing mixtapes using the artists' songs and that's where it all started," he said.

"I released my first EP independently in 2016, which was titled Musical Journey EP. I also started to release a series of music named Expressive Groovy Sounds. I still release those tapes to this day," he said.
Stash said he's proud of the work he's done and what he's achieved so far. He said he'll be releasing an EP this month.
"I am currently working on an EP that'll drop this month. I'm just waiting for confirmation from my team, but I'm excited about that.
"It's titled Against Time and after that, people should be on the lookout because I'll drop singles and some collaboration EPs are on the way," he said.
