HER grandkids have given her a reason to value life even more.
The versatile singer and actress Winnie Khumalo (50) was recently blessed with a grandchild.
Her daughter Rethabile (27) gave birth to a baby boy earlier in December.
The Live My Life singer told Daily Sun that she had always dreamed of having grandkids.
"I was sick, and everyone knew about it. I was in and out of hospital wondering if I'd ever see my grandchildren as I lay on my sick bed," she said.
She said she feels blessed.
"I can see my grandchildren now, and I am very grateful for that. There are two now, my son also has a child," Winnie said.
She said it was very exciting for her.

"God heard me. It was so sad for me," she joked.
Her daughter, Rethabile, told Daily Sun that she was happy to be a mum.
"I've never had a child of my own. It's always been my brother's child and so on. I can see how everyone is protective of their children and how beautiful that can be," Rethabile said.
She said that the journey to motherhood has already begun.
"It's a great feeling and I'm one of the lucky ones because not everyone can give birth to a child. What I feel now is shocking and it shows that God has the power.
"I look forward to the challenges and rewards that motherhood brings. I appreciate the support and encouragement as I navigate this new chapter of my life," she said.
