Wiseman's younger sister, Zama Cele, confirmed to Daily Sun that her elder brother has passed away.
"My brother passed away on Thursday at Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital in Durban after a short illness.
"At the moment, I'm not in a position to comment further as we are trying to deal with the situation. The family will announce his funeral arrangements in due course," she said.
